​Vegetarian Cookbook Club

We'll have a guided discussion of methods and ingredients, some hands on practice, and a delicious vegetarian lunch. Leave with more confidence, recipes that work and a cookbook for your kitchen library!  Meets 4 Tuesdays  at lunchtime from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm:  2/14, 3/7, 4/25, 5/9.

Class 1  2/14 - Chopping - Improve your knife skills while we prepare onions and garnishes, discuss beans and feeling full, and make a quick tortilla soup and crunchy salad. Book: Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz.

Class 2   3/7 -   Easy Crepes - We'll wash and cook mushrooms, shallots, leeks and spinach and eat them in vegan crepes. Book: Vegan Brunch by Moskowitz

Class 3 - 4/25 -  Yummy bowls - mixing flavors and textures to composing a meal.  We'll make sauces and assemble and eat a delicious meal in a bowl inspired by what's fresh at the market.  We discuss sauces, grains and other easy ways to make a meal. Book: Bowl by Lukas Volger

Class 4 5/9  - Easy Flatbreads - We'll prepare quick Indian flatbreads and eat them with lentils, vegetables and sauces. Book: Vegan Richa's Indian Kitchen by Richa Hingle.
